How We Got Here

We built Mackie Mobile to ensure that no one, whether domestic scammers or foreign nation-state adversaries, could identify, target, or compromise the people protecting this country.

The original mission was straightforward: give Special Operations Forces, law enforcement, and government personnel a wireless carrier that operated at the same security standard they were trained to expect. No data collection. No location tracking. No identity exposure. Service activates with a ZIP code only. No name. No ID. No verification.

Then we looked at what was happening to everyone else.

The same surveillance techniques we spent careers defending against were being used on American families. Carriers were selling location data. Phishing attacks were draining bank accounts. Johan Mackie is a retired Special Operations Veteran, with infantry, security cooperation, and diplomatic service. Led diplomatically sensitive missions in multiple theaters for the U.S. government. Managed and executed strategic efforts at multiple U.S. Embassies. As a graduate of Ranger School, Defense Security Cooperation University, and the United States Army John F. Kennedy Special Warfare Center and School, he is an expert in Security, Countersurveillance, Civil Reconnaissance, Humanitarian Assistance, Foreign Military Sales, Global Train & Equip, Security Assistance, and Strategic Negotiations.

Tyler Wine

President

Tyler Wine is a retired U.S. Army Special Operations veteran with over 20 years of experience in combat operations, diplomacy, and security cooperation. He has led hundreds of missions in high risk and strategically sensitive environments and served as Deputy Chief of Security Cooperation at a U.S. Embassy. His expertise spans countersurveillance, civil reconnaissance, foreign military sales, and strategic negotiations, bringing a mission first approach to secure communications.

During a diplomatic assignment in Niger, a local friend gifted our founder a gazelle named Leif for his compound. It seemed like an unusual gift.

It turned out to be one of the best security assets he ever had.
